India
Diwali (October) – A Festival of lights. Fireworks, lamps & sweets- what a perfect combination
Holi (March)- The Arrival of spring celebration
From vibrant colors, celebrating love. This festival is worth experiencing
China
Chinese New Year (January – February) – From Dragon Dances, fireworks and all kind of festive & decadent feasts
Lantern Festival (March)- write what matters to you on a lantern goals/dreams light it and watch it join a sky filled with other beautiful lanterns.
Lantern Food festival (March). Not only will this festival be beautiful, but the aroma from the food will be intoxicating. Try mouthwatering unique foods.
Harbin Ice and Snow World (December – February). A city made of ice & not just an armature city. I mean a real city. Next level amazing.

Water Fight Festival. (April) This will bring out the child in you. Bring your Mark Rober’s Super Soaker and be ready for battle. What better way to bring in the New Year’s than at water a massive water gun fight festival.
Japan
Cherry Blossom Festival. (March- April)- This festival may be a little tricky to catch because the cherry blossoms trees only blossom for 1 to two weeks. Although yearly, the actual week often changes. So, buying you tickets & planning out the exact time, way ahead of time may not be ideal.

Water lantern festival – Picture a sitting in a boat, amongst a sea of glowing lanterns. How dreamy!
Bali
Kite Festival (July -August). Write a message on you kite and fly it high. As the belief is the kite will be better visible to God. A kite messenger of prayers for blessings & good fortune.

Octoberfest (October)- If you like beer this is the festival for you
Spain
La Tomatina (August)- In Bunol – Not sure this one is for everyone. However, if you ever fantasized about getting hit with a tomato this may be the festival for you. A tomato throwing festival!
The Feria de Abril – (May). In Seville – Fun Costumes celebrating Andalusian culture.
Running of the Bulls (July)- Need some adrenaline? Prefer to live on the edge. Running with bulls might be for you. Be careful not to get trampled!
Italy
Carnival of Venice (February) A festival of beautiful gowns, to mysterious & elaborate mask. Imagine a time, where these costumes were not actually costumes.
Ireland
St Patrick’s Day – If your favorite color is green. This is the festival for your. Drinking, kissing, & partying. Fun Fun Fun.
Turkey
Istanbul Tulip Festival (April)- A sea of the most beautiful flowers you’ll ever see. Every color you can think of.
The Cappadocia Hot Air Balloon Festival (August) – This one is certainly on my bucket list. For those who enjoys being sky high, a hot air balloon would be the perfect adventurous thing to do.
North America
USA
Mardi Gras (March)– Located in New Orleans the City of festivals. This festival is full of colors, parades, masquerates, beeds and sometimes boobs.
Jazz Festival (March – April) – Also in New Orleans – Enjoy all styles of Jazz. Bebop to Dixie land jazz. You’ll hear some of the most talented musicions just walking throught the streets of New Orleans.
Essense Festival (July) – A celebration of black cultures & music.
Burning Man (August)- A cool temporary city (in Nevada), created just for this festival. Full of Art, dancing, music, self – expression, community, sometimes praying, & lastly a burning man to remove all evidence of this city.
Cochella (April)- In California – Music, Food, & Celebrities.
Carribean Carnival (October)- Yearly in South Florida. Love Island Music & Dancing. Well Miami/Ft Lauderdale Carnival is crammed with day fete parties. These consist of paint, bubbles, or water. A messy but fun experience. At night concerts consist of well-known Soca & Reggae artist.
Marley Festival (October)- Miami – It’s all about reggae music. The main performers are usually the offspring of musical genius, Bob Marley.
Mexico
Day of The Dead (November 1-2)- This cool festival pays homage & remembrance to one’s ancestors. According to Disney’s Movie “Coco” they believe that it’s the one day a year ancestors come to earth to eat. However, they must first be remembered.
Jamaica
Dream Weekend (August)- Jamaica certainly knows how to party. They have so many different festivals. From ATI Festival, Rumfest, to Bob Marley Week. It’s always a good time to go year round
South America
Trinidad & Tobago
T&T Carnival (March)- the originators of partying in the street to Soca music. Its a whole week of festivities and dancing your sure to burn some calories.
Brazil
Brazilian Carnival (March)- One of the biggest carnivals around.
Central America
Garifuna Settlement Day (November)- Learn all about Garifuna culture. This day is filled with activities, from singing and drumming in canoes. Be prepared to fill up on delicious foods like Hudut, Tapou, Cassava Bread, & Fried Fish.

Festival au Desert (December). In Mali- A Music Festival in the Sahara Desert…and of course Camels!

Cape Town Minstrel Carnival (January) – New Years Festival

Australia
Vivid Sydney(May -June)- If you can get past Australia’s random insects that can kill you, then take a trip there. Experience this festival filled with lights music.
New Zealand
Waitingi Day (February) – In the Bay of Islands – A celebration of the treaty of Waitangi. Consist of Maoiri cultural performaces.
