A Morning Routine that will revitalize your well-being and help you create a Wondrous Day.

A morning routine can significantly impact the rest of your day. It may be tempting to get on to social media as you open your eyes. However, it’s quite an unhealthy habit. Starting off your morning this way can negatively influence your state of well-being.
So how should you start your morning?
I’ve composed a few practices that you may want to consider adding to your morning ritual. These practices have improved my energy levels and have also improved my sense of well-being. They were mostly recommended by disciplined & successful friends & family members. Individuals who strive be intentional, productive, & purposeful throughout their busy day.
Ultimately your morning routine should be subjective to you. It should motivate you and also add to your emotional and mental health. Most importantly It should feel right.
The 30-minute Strategy: Do each thing for 30 minutes Daily
Incorporating Mindful Morning Practices
1 . Prayer & Meditation
Prayer.

Prayer is ideally how you want to start every day, right as you open your eyes. It’s a form of tithing your day. You give the first moments of your day to God, through prayer. He blesses the rest. You could ask him to guide you throughout the day, directing your every move through intuition. Help you to make right decisions. Protecting yourself and your loved ones. Create little miracles throughout your day. Whatever you think you should pray for, even if it’s just to complain, Pray first.
Set the “Morning Routine” Scene.
Setting a scene will help set the intention, minimize distractions, and also create a habit.

After Praying, make yourself some tea or coffee. Be sure to put it in a pretty cup, or a cup with a beautiful message.
Then you should put on relaxing music, in the background. I recommend coffee shop vibes, or piano music.
Light a candle. This candle needs to smell delightful.
Sit in an area that is visually appealing. Maybe have pretty flowers or plants nearby.
Make yourself comfortable in a cozy spot
Set the intention to complete the routine, to set in motion a wondrous day.
Meditation.
Meditation is one of the most obvious morning rituals one should practice. There are different forms of meditation. Ideally you will want to meditate for at least 20 minutes every day. However, if this is challenging (you’re new at this), then maybe start with just 5-10 minutes. Later working your way up to 20 or even 30 minutes.

Here are Four Types of Meditations, I’m obsessed with.
1 . Guided meditation – This form of meditation is perfect for beginners. There are plenty of guided meditations on YouTube. There are also meditation classes, & meditation podcast, that you can look into.
For the busy mind, this form of meditation will guide you back to being present throughout the entire mediation. Grabbing your attention, right when distraction sets in, time and time again. Reminding you to return your thoughts to the meditation, and not on what you should eat for breakfast.
2 . Sit in Silence – This form of meditation is challenging, but extremely beneficial. It requires the most mental disciple.
There should be no music, no messages… nothing. Your goal here is to keep you mind focused on your breath. Visualizing air going in and out of your body. Thinking of it as light and energy, entering into your nose and traveling to your lungs. After breathing out not only carbon dioxide, but anything negatively impacting you.
3 . Spiritual Meditation – This is a meditation optimal for those who want to draw closer to God.
In this type of meditation, your goal is to hear or encounter God. This meditation should start with a prayer and even a spiritual song. This is done as a way to setting an invitation to God’s presence.
After you have done the prayer and song (you speaking to God). Now it’s time to meditate on Him (allowing God to speak back). As you meditate focus all your thoughts on breathing in God’s breath of life. Then breathing out, releasing your energy back to him. Like a flow of give and take. Your aim is to be one with him.
4 . Visualization – This form is meditation is quite fun. Especially if you have specific goals you’re trying to achieve. As you visualize yourself achieving your goals, you remind yourself of what your goals actually are. This will subconsciously affect the decisions you make throughout the day. Instinctively mapping out a way to achieve them.
You first want to start by getting yourself relaxed, by using breath-work. To get yourself in a place of tranquility. Once this is achieved, you will then envision yourself slowly walking up to a door. Then opening that door & entering a world where you have achieved exactly what it is, you want. Imagining all the lovely possibilities. Most importantly focusing on how you feel having it.
II . Journal & Read

Journaling
Journaling can be whatever you want it to be. Whatever you want to write about, or whatever you want to vent about. It can be about whatever you’re feeling. The goal is to write down whatever comes to your mind.
Very often, we get stuck in a mental loop of obsessive thoughts simply because we haven’t done anything about it. Writing out these thoughts allow us to acknowledge these thoughts. Subsequently releasing them, thereby allowing your mind of be at peace. A mind at peace will give space to creating new thoughts and ideas.
Gratitude Journaling will shift your focus on all good things. It can be as simple as being grateful to see a ladybug. Writing at least three things a day is recommended. Here’s a gratitude journal to I use: Gratitude Journal
Prayer Journaling has become popular. Instead of speaking it, you are now writing down everything you want to pray about. Keep dates on it and refer to it later. Use this as a way to remind yourself of all the prayers that have been answered. Especially if you ever feel unheard.

Daily Reading
This can be whatever you think is worth reading. Choose a book that will Motivate, Inspire, & Uplift you. Try to complete a chapter every morning. However, depending on how long the chapter is, you may want to aim to read more or less. Of Course, I have to recommend one of those books to be The Bible (it provides all three benefits!). However, another one of my recommendations is “The Game of Life, and Howe to Play it.” “The Alchemist” is another beautiful story with an inspiring meaning. Book recommendation blog -coming soon.
III . Stretch & Exercise
Stretching

I can’t begin to tell you how good you will feel once you start stretching every day. All you need is 10 minutes. That’s it! I figured this out when I had the random goal of accomplishing a split. Although I never achieved this goal, I did however realize that stretching is amazing! Not only will most of your body aches resolve, but you will also feel completely relaxed during and after. Try it. I use YouTube videos for this.

Exercise
Exercise should be a minimum of 30 minutes. What good is life if you don’t have the health to support it. The healthier you are the more of life you can enjoy. Get that circulation going. 30 minutes!
I also recommend going on a nice nature walk. If you’re aiming to lose weight, 5 miles a day is the recommended distance. Walking has so many benefits. Find an area with lots of trees, for your walk or even a hike. An alternative is finding a lake or somewhere near water. If you decide to bring company, be sure to stay away from toxic conversations (otherwise you’re defeating the purpose).
III . Clean & Declutter
Cleaning &Declutter
Clean your house every day for 25 to 30 minutes. Set a timer, put on some music (I recommend Soca), and then clean your house. Cleanliness is next to Godliness. It’s a reflection of the state of your mind. So, keep the exterior clean, to help the interior (your mind) remain at peace.

IV . Cleansing &Nourishing
Aromatherapy in your Shower or Bath.

Now I got this idea from my lovely friend Gina. She has succeeded at making her everyday life full of pretty things, and treasured moments. Almost like a romantic novel of self-love. Instead of taking a monotonous bath, add a bath bomb or an essential oil to the shower floor or walls. Oils like lemon, peppermint, lavender or eucalyptus. Breathe in the lovely fragrance, with the steam from the water. This will elevate your shower experience. We want to be as bougie as possible!

Nourish Yourself
I highly recommend starting your morning with a little fast. By noon, you should break your fast with something healthy. Figure out what is healthy for you. My tummy is most happy with me when I break my fast with an apple. Drinking warm water with lemon is also a great way to wake up the tummy while removing toxins.
Try not to start your day with sweets. As much as I love waffles with syrup and bacon, it’s just not healthy. Starting a morning with sugar will ultimately shock the body. Think of sugar as a drug…and avoid!

V . Time to Conquer!!!
Time to Conquer your day …You Got This!
Hope this little Morning routine outline inspires you to make each morning more intentional while providing you a sense of serenity. As it motivates you to create healthy habits for a productive day filled with Bits of Wonders ;-).
